Yuuji Sagara, nicknamed Yuu-chan by Toono, serves on their high school student council. He is diligent, intelligent, and strict, yet beneath this tough exterior, he has a deep care for his family and friends.
When his mother fell ill and required hospitalization, Yuuji took up a part-time job to assist with the expenses. He didn't want her to leave the hospital prematurely just to return to work. During her stay, he visited her daily. In matters of romance, Yuuji's composed demeanor falters, revealing a shy and insecure side.
He was childhood friends with Toono before moving away. Yuuji was among the first to see beyond Toono's expressionless face and understand his emotions. He attempted to win Toono over from Tamiya but failed. Despite this, Tamiya and Yuuji still don't have a good relationship. However, Yuuji doesn't harbor any resentment towards Toono for rejecting him.
Yuuji can be quite harsh towards President Kagami due to his relaxed attitude, but he respects him for getting the job done.
In later chapters, President Kagami falls in love with Yuuji, leaving Yuuji very confused by the entire situation.
