Yuki is a first-year student and the object of Mikoto's deep affection. She is Yosuke's sister and the one who introduced Mikoto to the world of cycling. Initially, Yuki didn't seem to care much about Mikoto and his eccentric behavior, but her perspective began to shift when she witnessed his dedication. Despite these changes in her feelings, she was reluctant to acknowledge them to others or even to herself.
In episode 9, Mikoto, wanting to express his gratitude, approached Yuki but received a harsh response, leading him to seemingly give up. At home, Yuki's mother tried to console her after her boyfriend broke up with her via text message. Feeling hurt, Yuki remarked that men were disposable and that she didn't care. Her mother pointed out that one of those "disposable" guys had been standing outside in the rain for some time. When Yuki looked out the window, she saw Mikoto.
Her mother reminded her that Mikoto had always appeared in her photos since middle school and seemed concerned that she might be facing some issues. She added that a man truly wants to be helpful to the person they love. Mikoto informed her of an upcoming race and invited her to attend, mentioning that there would be strong competitors and he might not win. To herself, Yuki responded that he couldn't win, as Mikoto was still outside and she was inside on the second floor.
Mikoto expressed his determination to try his best and not give up, saying that Yuki had given him so much and he was very grateful. He believed that everything would have been different if he hadn't met her and felt chills thinking about it. Mikoto wanted to repay her and decided to race for her, stating that his strength was her strength. Unheard by Mikoto, Yuki said she couldn't hear him well because of the rain. Mikoto concluded by saying he would never betray her. Yuki called him an idiot and then started to cry, marking what is believed to be the beginning of her love for him.
She attended the race with two friends dressed in yukatas. During the race, Mikoto proved to be a strong competitor, and by this time, Yuki admitted that hearing Mikoto say those things made her heart beat faster. She also began to think about how many times Mikoto must have thought about her during the race. When Mikoto dropped from the lead and there was no news about him, Yuki became very worried.
Yuki and her friends were riding in a car with Terao's father as support. They passed a tired Mikoto, and Yuki refused to say anything to him, believing it wouldn't matter. Although there have been hints at Yuki's feelings for Mikoto, she still does not admit them to herself and continues to treat Mikoto coldly as before.
