Boy #7, Yoshitoki Kuninobu, is Shuuya's best friend. He is known for his cheerful demeanor and calm temperament.

Yoshitoki is killed by Kamon/Sakamochi/Kitano before the game officially starts. In the novel and manga, after the teacher admits to raping Yoshitoki's guardian (an orphanage overseer), Yoshitoki expresses his intense hatred towards the teacher. This act of defiance against a government official is deemed illegal, resulting in the teacher shooting Yoshitoki in the mouth, face, and head.

In the film adaptation, Yoshitoki had previously stabbed Kitano in the buttocks at school, leading to Kitano's resignation. When the students gather for the program, following Kitano killing Fumiyo and Noriko being shot amidst the chaos, Yoshitoki attacks Kitano. As revenge, Kitano slashes Yoshitoki's buttocks. Later, after an argument and physical altercation with Kyouichi Motobuchi, Kitano detonates Yoshitoki's collar, killing him.

Yoshitoki harbors romantic feelings for Noriko Nakagawa. After his death, Shuuya vows to protect Noriko in Yoshitoki's place.
