William is a supervisor within the Dispatch Management Division of the Death Gods. He first appears in the 12th chapter of the manga (or the 6th episode of the anime) to retrieve Grell Sutcliff. William maintains an emotionless and calm demeanor. Professionally, he is strict, adheres meticulously to rules, and demonstrates extreme dedication. He disapproves of individuals causing disruptions or additional work for him, especially if it necessitates apologizing for their actions. Despite this, he shares Ronald's aversion to overtime work. He has no hesitation in causing minor injuries to others, as demonstrated when he leaps off a roof to land on Grell Sutcliff's head and uses his death scythe to attack Sebastian multiple times. William considers demons to be repulsive creatures, often referring to Sebastian Michaelis with derogatory terms like "devilish fiend," "leech," and "hound." It is suggested that he finds other demons even more detestable than Sebastian. In the anime, however, he shows more willingness to collaborate with Sebastian, assisting him on several occasions.
