Albert is Laila's partner. Initially, he is controlled by Zofis and can only speak while reciting spells.
After the destruction of the Stone of Moonlight, it becomes evident how powerful Laila and Albert are. In episode 78, despite not being fully awakened, Albert seems to understand what is happening with Laila. His remark at school, "School is kind of boring anyway," suggests that he is quite intelligent but does not enjoy school much. When freed by Penny, Albert appears to recall events prior to his liberation, indicating that the book had to be burned after the Stone of Moonlight was destroyed for him to remember.
Towards the end of the manga, during Zatch's battle with Clear, Albert is seen gazing at a crescent moon, possibly reminiscing about Laila.
