Domyouji Tsukasa is the leader of the F4. At the beginning of the series, he is Makino's biggest adversary, but as the narrative unfolds, he transforms into her romantic interest.
Tsukasa is the heir to Domyoji Enterprises, a family with immense wealth. They possess numerous properties across the globe, including an entire island, a residence in Canada, and a house in New York City where his parents reside.
Growing up, Domyouji experienced some loneliness because his parents were frequently abroad. His sister, despite her affectionate nature, was often preoccupied with her studies or, later, married and relocated to Los Angeles. Additionally, his mother, Kaede, is emotionally distant towards him, although she loves him, she desires to control his life. Tsukasa occasionally refers to her as "the old hag" and "witch".
Before encountering Makino, Tsukasa was aggressive and short-tempered, but after meeting her, he became loyal and kind.
Initially portrayed as tough and unapproachable, the creator of Hana Yori Dango demonstrates through both the anime and manga that even those who start off hard can discover their softer side due to love. This transformation is vividly illustrated through Tsukasa Domyouji.
