A massive, black, winged serpent, Touda is the sole shikigami capable of destroying a shinigami. In human form, he wears a visor over his eyes to suppress his powers. He follows Tsuzuki's instructions precisely but demonstrates loyalty in his unique way towards Tsuzuki, who liberated him from an eternal imprisonment for undisclosed offenses. It is hinted that these crimes were missions assigned by the Golden Emperor privately, only to be publicly condemned afterward. When Tsuzuki discovered Touda, he was shackled in the deepest basement of Tenkuu, naked except for what seemed like leather socks. Touda pledged to assist Tsuzuki as it represented his only chance at freedom and agreed to wear the visor which also appears to alter his memories and limit his strength.
The only other character known to possess a Shiki is Hisoka, who controls a small, first-level water Shiki named Rikko. This Shiki can store water within its body and expel it at will. Rikko has a fondness for singing into a microphone and occasionally speaks Spanish and English. He met his demise while defending Hisoka from an enraged Kurikara. Following this, Hisoka attempted to confront Kurikara but was restrained by Kotaro.
