utsumi toshio

Toshio is the main male character in the series. He has been high school sweethearts with Hitomi. Dreaming of becoming a police detective since his youth, Toshio, after graduating from the Academy, was posted to the Inunaki, also known as the Crying Dog, District Police Station located in central Tokyo. Though he desires to marry Hitomi, Toshio has pledged not to do so until he captures Cat's Eye (though he has proposed to her already). A bit awkward and not particularly adept at uncovering clues, Toshio's relentless determination and unwavering persistence have earned him respect from his superiors. However, his stubborn nature often leads to arguments with his Chief. Preferring to rely on his intelligence and physical prowess over firearms, Toshio engages criminals without a gun.
