Toshinori Oda is Boy #4.
In the novel and manga, Toshinori is depicted as an unattractive wealthy student whose father owns a prosperous produce company. He holds himself in high regard and aims to showcase his violin talents. Toshinori harbors disdain for his classmates, referring to them as "vulgar masses." He particularly despises Shuuya, who is attractive and plays rock music, a genre Toshinori detests. In the story, Toshinori kills Hirono Shimizu. Later, Kazuo Kiriyama, whom Toshinori loathes for engaging in vulgar activities with his gang, shoots him. Although a bulletproof vest initially saves Toshinori from death, Kiriyama ultimately kills him. In the novel, Kiriyama shoots into Toshinori's helmet, while in the manga, he shoots Toshinori in the groin.
In the film, Toshinori tries to escape Kiriyama by riding a bicycle. Similar to the novel and manga, the bulletproof vest initially protects him from death. However, Kiriyama wields a wakizashi and beheads Toshinori. Kiriyama then places a hand grenade in Toshinori's severed head's mouth and throws it into Shougo's hideout.
