Terrance is the illegitimate and thus concealed son of a British nobleman and a celebrated beautiful theater actress. He is an attractive, solitary, unsociable, and rebellious young man who prefers to do everything on his own and projects an image of being cool. Terrance encounters Candy at the prestigious and respected Saint Paul's School in London. Initially, they constantly irritate and tease each other, but soon they grow fonder of each other and eventually become lovers. Later, Terrance voluntarily leaves the class of the British nobility to pursue his passion for acting in America.
