Teppei is a second-year forward and the only candidate from Edogawai Junior High School. His friends pooled their resources to help pay for his travel ticket. He qualified for the Junior Senbatsu camp due to his remarkable speed. Initially, he thought about quitting the camp because he felt inferior compared to the other participants. However, he was persuaded to stay by the camp's gardener.

He becomes a substitute player for the Junior Senbatsu team.
