Fuwa joined the soccer team at Sakura Jyousui because of Shou. His first experience with soccer involved playing penalty kicks, with Fuwa as the goalkeeper and Shou taking the shots. Despite losing, Fuwa noticed how much enjoyment Shou derived from playing with him. This puzzled Fuwa, prompting him to start playing soccer to uncover why Shou found joy in the sport.
Known as the infamous "Crusher," Fuwa earned this nickname by analyzing opponents' skills and defeating them along with their pride. Everyone, except Shou, feared and disliked him. Over time, however, people began to trust him more, following Shou's lead.
