Sumire is the daughter of the kumicho of Kansai's Kadokanegumi, and the twin sister of Tsubaki. She stays close to Asago during the school graduation trip and considers her a friend, even though Asago often complains about it and tries to avoid her. Understanding the challenges of growing up as a kumicho's daughter, Sumire encourages Asago, whom she fondly calls "Asa-yan," to confide in her. She believes that Ryuuji and Kuryugumi are responsible for the stress that Asago is experiencing.
