Soshi has harbored feelings for Riiko since their childhood days, but he's never had the courage to confess his true emotions and instead opts to tease her. His father, a photographer, frequently travels the world, leaving Soshi to live alone with his brother, Masaki. As Riiko also lives by herself at the start of the series, Soshi made a promise to her mother to look out for her. He is an excellent cook and often prepares food for Riiko when he thinks she needs it.
