Kiyo's childhood friend who trains in the mountains. He came down from his training to meet Kiyo once again, this time to protect her. This is because in the past, he was a cowardly boy, always relying on Kiyo to repel evil spirits through exorcism. He admired her strength and vowed to become stronger to return the favor. His sword can detect any evil aura, and whenever Kuroboshi is around, his sword senses it. Upon learning that Kuroboshi is a vampire, he proclaims himself Kiyo's bodyguard. He confronts Kuroboshi during the Romeo and Juliet play and continues to claim his position as bodyguard, asserting that Kuroboshi is weak. His dedication to protecting Kiyo stems from his earlier inability to stand up to threats. Now, with his enhanced skills and the mystical properties of his sword, he believes he can safeguard her effectively. His encounters with Kuroboshi are marked by a determination to prove his strength and honor his vow to Kiyo.
