Soma, the 26th child of the King of Bengal, arrived in England accompanied by his butler, Agni, on a quest to find a missing servant from his household. In his youth, Soma was gifted a palace along with its staff by his parents. Among these servants was Meena, a cook whom he regarded as an elder sister. One day, Meena vanished from the palace, leaving Soma heartbroken. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Meena's disappearance led Soma to extend his search to England. There, he inadvertently encountered Ciel and Sebastian in the East End. Initially, he instructed Agni to side with Indian thugs, referring to them as his "brethren," against Sebastian. However, upon learning that Ciel had not provoked the thugs, Soma switched allegiances out of honor. Following the altercation, he accompanied Ciel back to the Phantomhive manor and settled in comfortably. Soma asserted that, as an acquaintance, custom from his homeland required Ciel to host him as a guest.
