Shuuichirou Kudou is a young doctor who saves Kohaku from being trapped in a tree. As a reward, he is granted a wish, but he isn't interested since he believes he already has everything he desires.
Shuuichirou is generally kind and trusting, though he tends to avoid social interactions. This changes as the story progresses, thanks to the two angels, two demons, and two servant demons who move into his house.
However, when Kohaku is summoned back to Heaven, she realizes how deeply in love with Shuuichirou she has become. Upon her return, he makes his wish for her to stay with him. Shortly after, he unexpectedly passes away.
After his death, Shuuichirou is reborn, and Kohaku awakens from her slumber, eagerly awaiting his return.
