The young, charismatic chairman of the Gotoh Company, a multimillion-dollar land development firm, Shira initially comes across as an arrogant boy in a sleek black suit. In truth, not only is Shira fond of punk style, but she is also actually a girl. She oversees the Elysium Project, which publicly appears to be an effort to preserve nature, but in reality aims to unleash malicious spirits to consume humans and allow fairies to reign supreme.
Shira has a loyal bodyguard named Reify, who is actually Raven, whom she frequently commands to eliminate other fairies opposing her objectives. Her past is marked by trauma; her father refused to acknowledge her and confined her and her mother to a room. Shira's mother went insane and attempted black magic by killing a cat, but Shira intervened, leading to her mother injuring herself instead.
Through her blood, Shira summoned a demon god, who promised her power in exchange for her assistance. The demon took control of Shira's father and used him to maintain a form in the human world. However, as the demon is dying, it was forced to simply give orders to Shira and let her do the work. Since he couldn't alleviate her loneliness, Shira turned to Kureha, who treated her like her own child. Because Kureha misses her son, Shira often cross-dresses so that Kureha would believe she is her lost child, Ian.
