Female Methuselah, Countess of Babylon. She is the niece of Suleyman, Duke of Tigris. During her journey, she and her servants were captured by Archbishop Emmanuele. The Archbishop ordered her to assassinate Esther, but instead, she saved Esther from peril. Her primary aim was to rescue her imprisoned servants.
Upon learning that her servants had been dead from the start, she went berserk. Eventually, she died at Esther's hands (she made Esther shoot her to aid Esther). There is some confusion regarding her name; some call her Shahrazad while others refer to her as Scheherazade.
Shahrazad is an alternate spelling of Scheherazade, which translates to "free city." Al-Rahman is a surname derived from Rahman, meaning "The Beneficent, The Most Merciful in Essence, The Compassionate, The Most Gracious," a unique Islamic name for God. This is fitting because, within the canon, Shahrazad is often referred to or nicknamed (mostly in the novels, if I remember correctly) as merciful and benevolent.
