Shinichi's closest friend and occasional companion, Satomi, develops a romantic relationship with him throughout the series. However, their mutual attraction and fondness for each other are hindered by Shinichi's fear of his monstrous nature and Satomi's apprehension about his secretive behavior and mood swings caused by the challenges in his life.
Until the final volume, Satomi remains unaware of Migi's existence. A near-death experience might compel Migi to use his abilities without Shinichi's knowledge, potentially revealing his secret.
