Sasarai is a Bishop in Harmonia and the bearer of the True Earth Rune. When Highland sought military assistance from Harmonia, Sasarai was dispatched as a general. However, during a battle in the South Window forests, his forces were overwhelmed by the power of Luc's True Wind Rune. Sasarai managed to escape using the power of his True Earth Rune but had to retreat to Harmonia as Highland's army was defeated, leading to the death of Prince Luca Blight.
Despite his significant political influence within Harmonia, Sasarai was concerned about the rising power of the Howling Voice Guild among the aristocracy. To counter this, he assisted Nash Latkje in eliminating Zaj, who was rapidly ascending within both the Howling Voice Guild and the Harmonian elite.
Sasarai reappeared during the Second Fire Bringer War, leading the Harmonian Army into the Grasslands. He successfully conquered the Safir Clan and attempted to take over the Chisha Clan but was repelled. After regrouping and achieving some initial victories, he attacked the new Fire Bringer at Brass Castle but was once again defeated.
At the One Temple in Crystal Valley, Luc revealed their true nature as vessels created by Hikusaak to bear True Runes and subsequently stole Sasarai's True Earth Rune. Sasarai then joined the Fire Bringer with his soldiers to fight against Luc. He regained his True Earth Rune and helped the Fire Bringer defeat Luc. Following this, he returned to Harmonia and resumed his position as Bishop.
