A psychic girl with a goth-like appearance, Saki has the ability to sense people's "auras" and emit electric waves, known as "denpa." Similar to Arisa, Saki is fiercely protective of Tooru, who was the first person at school to truly accept her. She is observant, polite, and has a fondness for eating, often seen munching on something when not in class. Her nickname, Hana-chan, and her manga symbol, a violet with fangs, humorously connect since "hana" means "flower" in Japanese.
Saki has a close relationship with her family, who accept and even encourage her unique abilities. Her younger brother, Megumi, looks up to her and possesses his own special power, ensuring he isn't the only "weird" one in the family. Her mother shares similarities with Tooru's protective and caring nature, which may explain Saki's attachment to Tooru. In the "parental" protection she and Arisa provide to Tooru, Saki takes on the role of the nurturing "motherly" figure. During Kyou's parent-teacher conference, when Kazuma arrives, Saki remarks that he is "handsome." However, Kyou isn't particularly fond of the idea of Saki being his "mother."
