Saati was an artificial intelligence program designed for interacting with girls, and it was the thirtieth AI that Hitoshi created. It was also the first program that Hitoshi truly appreciated.
Due to a freak lightning accident, Saati was transferred into the real world and became Hitoshi's live-in girlfriend. In the real world, she adopted the family name "Namba," which is pronounced as "nanpa" (meaning "whirlpool"). Her name, Namba Saati, follows Japanese naming conventions and is derived from the Engrish pronunciation of "Number Thirty" (Nanbā Sāti).
Saati is a kind-hearted girl with measurements of 82-58-85 cm (32¾"-23"-34"). She has thick eyebrows, a feature that Akamatsu admitted he finds attractive in women, citing Sae Isshiki as an example. Saati is somewhat naive, which often leads to problems with Hitoshi. One notable issue is her tendency to make meals look exactly like the pictures in cookbooks, regardless of taste, using everything from paint to colored markers until she received a program upgrade that allowed her to taste food.
