Birthday: July 7 (Cancer) Sasa is the star player of Morinomiya's boys' basketball team and also one of the school's heartthrobs. He is a cool and laid-back individual who seems indifferent to his admirers, claiming he has no interest in girls. This 'phobia' of his stems from a past event, which is revealed later in the manga. A natural athlete, Sasa is also an avid fishing enthusiast. Upon first meeting Noeru, Sasa is immediately taken aback by Noeru's assertiveness. Noeru casually uses Sasa's name and even asks him to make him the team's manager, ostensibly to keep an eye on his sister. Sasa realizes Noeru is unlike any other girl he knows and soon finds himself falling for him, much to Noeru's dismay and Maria's amusement. When Noeru confides in Sasa about his secret, Sasa is initially shocked but decides to remain friends with Noeru. To help Noeru hide his true identity, they pretend to be a couple.
