ueda ryouko

Ueda is a student of Fujigaya who befriends Akira during her second year of high school. She stands very tall, matching Fumi's height. Ueda always wears a calm expression, which mirrors her composed and unflappable personality. She is not particularly outgoing or outspoken and prefers to avoid the spotlight. However, she does not shy away from people or activities. Despite her initial reluctance, claiming she prefers reading plays to performing them, Ueda is recruited by Oono Haruka to participate in the drama club's new play. Eventually, she agrees and takes up a role on stage. Ueda becomes Akira's newest confidante, especially since Kyouko is in another class. She finds Akira's behavior amusing and thinks the shorter girl is very cute. Sometimes, Akira reminds her of Fumi. Much to Akira's relief, Ueda is considerate and caring. She shares with Akira her disapproval of the classroom gossip about the teacher, finding it crass and rude. Ueda works as an aide in the library.
