ruriko

A remarkably cheerful and gentle girl who battles leukemia. She resides in a local hospital, where she takes on the role of an older sister to the other children there.

She is the childhood friend and secret lover of Makoto Jinguu. He dreams of marrying her but postpones the wedding until a compatible bone marrow donor for Ruriko is found. Given the rarity of such a match, Makoto aspires to ascend in the political arena, aiming to become the prime minister so he can enact a law mandating bone marrow donation across Japan.

After Gin and Kirara organize a special concert for Kirara's fans willing to donate their bone marrow, the final chapter of the main story reveals that a suitable donor has been identified. Ruriko is now undergoing treatment.
