Roto is a dishonorable fighter who relies on underhanded tactics to win, rather than using strength or skill. He has the ability to produce a large blade from the back of his hand. In the first round of the Dark Tournament, Roto faces Kurama. Kurama gains the upper hand as Roto attempts to punch him, but throughout the fight, Roto repeatedly calls Kurama by his human name, "Minamino Shuuichi."
Just as Kurama is about to defeat him, Roto threatens to kill Kurama's human mother, Shiori, if Kurama does not submit. This enrages Kurama, and when Roto lets his guard down, Kurama inserts a Death Seed into Roto's body. Roto meets his end when the Death Seed takes root and blossoms into a plant with beautiful flowers. Roto is classified as a D-class demon.
