The Fifth Neck (Go no kubi), she is a reclusive manga artist who speaks little. Reiko maintains her "day job" as part of the Orochi, and interestingly, her market performance has improved since joining. However, her manga have adopted increasingly dark themes. She barely interacts with other Orochi members and remains coldly composed in battle, though this demeanor stems more from cynicism and emotional numbness rather than Miyako's influence.
Some sources suggest that Reiko had to sacrifice her artistic vision and aspirations for commercial success to become a mangaka. If true, this experience left her embittered and emotionally stunted, as she has been compelled to continue a series she personally detests to maintain her success. Her last name is shared with Hitoshi Ōta, one of the authors of Kannazuki no Miko. Interestingly, Himeko is an avid fan of Reiko's work and apparently reads it enthusiastically.
