Prince Chid is the heir to the Duchy of Freid and is believed to be the son of Duke Freid and Princess Marlene. However, his true father is Allen Schezar. When Princess Marlene married Duke Freid, she did not publicly disclose the truth about her pregnancy but documented it in a concealed diary later discovered by Millerna. Despite being unaware of their actual relationship, Chid shows a strong bond and trust towards Allen. Following Duke Freid's death, Chid eventually ascended to the position of Duke.

In the 1994 manga, Chid appears as the Duke of Freid after his father's death, fulfilling the same role. The manga does not establish any connection between him and Allen or the Asturia royal lineage.
