Oya-san runs a small Oden stand beneath the Inochi River Bridge. Initially, his interactions with Shō were challenging, but he soon becomes one of Shō's greatest supporters. He encourages Shō in his dream to become a skilled soccer player. In fact, Oya-san attends all of their tournaments with a large banner and cheers them on alongside Kō.
