A little black cat named Nya is always with Shia. Misha gave him this name, inspired by the sound cats make in Japanese, "nyo" or "nya." Nya insists that this is not his real name, but he never reveals it, except in the manga. As a full demon, Nya despises Sasha, and the feeling is mutual.
The manga also shows that Nya can transform into a young boy in human form.
