Narumi Seiwa is a typical high school student, albeit somewhat dense. He has a puppy-like demeanor, humorously depicted at times with dog-ears, a tail, and a pleading expression. Seiwa often acknowledges his own naivety and denseness, which is evident when he makes foolish statements or asks incredibly simple questions (Tamura even considers him the "naive idiot" at one point). He is a kind-hearted boy, very expressive, friendly, and quick to voice his frustrations. His personality is straightforward, and he insists on understanding why Tamura seems to be avoiding him. When Seiwa encounters Tamura again after Tamura fainted the previous day, he is fascinated by someone who could faint just from seeing another person. This curiosity leads him to follow Tamura around and inquire about him from Tamura's friends. Tamura remains aloof and tries to keep his distance without revealing the reason, too embarrassed to explain. Seiwa is troubled by this treatment, wanting to know why he's being treated so coldly and harshly compared to others who describe Tamura as generally friendly. Upon finally learning Tamura's reason for avoidance, it takes Seiwa some time to grasp what Tamura's dream implies. Seiwa quickly believes in Tamura's prophetic dreams and isn't bothered by the idea of dating Tamura. Tamura is surprised by how easily Seiwa accepts this, especially since Seiwa was already starting to feel attracted to Tamura before knowing the reason for his behavior. Seiwa views the dream as a fortunate event that brings them together. This adds more stress to Tamura, who feels he should be upset but isn't. Seiwa's enthusiasm, particularly on a physical level, overwhelms Tamura, who must frequently hold him back, especially when discovering Seiwa's inexperience. They eventually navigate these challenges and start dating, including a physical relationship. After their first night together, while Tamura sleeps, Seiwa meets Tamura's family, leading to an embarrassing celebration upon Tamura's awakening. Initially, Seiwa lives with his mother (who has been divorced twice), an older sister, Nagisa, and a younger sister, Mio. Tamura doesn't meet Seiwa's family until seven years into their relationship, when both are 23 and living together. Seiwa avoided introducing Tamura to his family not due to fear of revealing his sexuality, but because he knows Tamura is a great catch and his family members are known flirts. Seiwa often feels unworthy of someone like Tamura, considering himself less intelligent. By this point, Seiwa works in restaurant services as a chef apprentice.
