A homeless man with large glasses and an orange cap, often seen without pants. He possesses many talents, including badminton. Similar to Hasegawa, he frequently takes on various odd jobs. Musashi has the eyes of a samurai. Despite his distinct appearance, he is sometimes mistaken for Gintoki because of their similar hairstyles. In the credits, he is usually listed as "Musashi-like person."
It is revealed that his real name is Nishiki Matsugoro, and he is the father of Ikumatsu. Twenty years ago, he lost his memories after rescuing a drowning boy, who later became Ikumatsu's husband.
