Mori is the name of an emergency preservation pack that Killy discovers during his journey. The name actually refers to the manufacturer of the pack, which contains someone's consciousness, though they no longer remember their original name.
At one point, Mori attempts to make Killy insert her backup pin into himself, which would have given her control over his body. However, this attempt fails.
After Killy rescues Cibo's child, Mori is taken by the Governing Agency to a storage area where it enters a secure cyberspace. In this space, Mori takes the form of a young girl and shares its experiences with other artificial and virtual intelligences.
