Miyako is a classmate of Maron and Chiaki, living across the hall from Maron. As the child of detectives, Miyako is always trying to catch Jeanne. She claims her motivation is to prove Maron's innocence since people in their class were speculating that Maron resembled Jeanne half a month before the series began. In the anime, Miyako remains unaware that Maron is Jeanne and continuously devises dangerous traps and schemes to catch her, causing significant trouble for Jeanne and her mission. Miyako only discovers Maron's true identity at the end of the series. However, the manga presents a different scenario. Here, Miyako admits she knew Maron was Jeanne from the start and participated in the cases to provide an alibi if Maron were caught. She is deeply in love with Chiaki but eventually gives up on him as he is more interested in Maron. Stubborn and similar to Maron, Miyako often gets frustrated when Jeanne escapes. After Yamato confesses his feelings for her near the end, she reacts angrily, believing it to be a cruel joke, and ignores him. However, in the manga, she ends up marrying Yamato Minazuki and has a son named Shinji, who is the reincarnated form of Access.
