The landlady of the Izumo Inn, known as the "Hannya of the North," commands such a fearsome reputation that no Ashikabi or Sekirei has dared to attack her establishment. She conceals her identity as a Sekirei from most people; only members of the 'first generation' Disciplinary Squad and Homura (#06) are aware she is actually Sekirei #01. When Minato inquired about the whereabouts of #01, Miya told him that she had died along with Takehito.
However, upon witnessing the genuine emotions of Minato and his Sekirei regarding Uzume's death, Miya felt compelled to reveal her true nature and abandon her neutrality in the Sekirei Plan. She disclosed her identity to Minato and the others, describing herself as neither human nor Sekirei but more akin to a goddess. Unique among Sekirei, Miya has a family and a family name, despite all Sekirei being destined to fight. She does not appear to be participating in the Sekirei project.
In recent chapters, it has been revealed that the reason Miya lacks a Sekirei mark is not due to an inability to be winged, but because Asama Takehito did not possess any Sekirei genes, meaning he was not an Ashikabi.
