She excels academically as the school's top valedictorian and serves as the student council president. In combat, she wields one-handed swords like rapiers and sabers. Her Personas are proficient in ice spells, making her a powerful offensive magic caster next to the Main Character. Mitsuru has been combating Shadows for an extended period. Upon recognizing the Main Character's potential as a Persona-user, she, along with Ikutsuki, invites him into SEES. Initially, she remains in a Support role, providing analysis and advice. She joins the party in battle only after discovering Fuuka Yamagishi, whose analytical skills surpass Mitsuru's. Throughout the game, Mitsuru conceals many details about Tartarus and the Dark Hour due to guilt over her family's involvement in their creation. Feeling responsible since it was her grandfather who caused these issues, she shoulders the burden. After Ikutsuki kills her father, she loses her will to fight, as restoring the family honor becomes meaningless without a family. Fortunately, Mitsuru regains her resolve thanks to Yukari's intervention. Mitsuru is one of the girls the Main Character can date in the game. To attract her, he must maximize his intellect statistic and rank first in at least one exam. If the player makes the correct choices, Mitsuru will fall in love with the Main Character, helping her free from some expectations tied to her family name. While Mitsuru hasn't appeared in the anime sequel, "Persona -trinity soul-", a young girl resembling her is shown in the first episode, raising one of her fingers much like the Main Character did near the end of the game.
