Ken Amada is the youngest human member of SEES, and one of only two members not attending Gekkoukan High School. Despite his age, Ken exhibits a mature demeanor, though this can sometimes make him overly serious. To compensate for his small stature, he wields long spears. His Personas are adept at healing and casting light-based spells, which occasionally result in instant kills against enemies. Invited by Ikutsuki to reside in the SEES dorm due to being an orphan with nowhere else to go, Ken's potential to wield Persona was discovered, leading to his recruitment into the organization. At first, the Main Character and friends assume Ken joined SEES out of a sense of duty or altruism. However, his true motives are far more sinister. Ken's mother was inadvertently killed by Shinjiro during a SEES mission, driving Ken to infiltrate SEES with the intent of killing Shinjiro. In a pivotal confrontation between Ken and Shinjiro, Takaya intervenes, revealing that Ken had planned to commit suicide after exacting his revenge. Additionally, it is disclosed that Strega has been supplying Shinjiro with drugs to control his Persona, which will ultimately lead to his death. This revelation devastates Ken's hopes for vengeance. Following a brief altercation between Shinjiro and Takaya, the leader of Strega attempts to shoot Ken. Shinjiro leaps in front of the bullet, taking the shot. As he lies dying, Shinjiro reminds Ken that he is still young, with a future ahead of him that should not be defined by vengeance. These final words inspire Ken to strive for a future his mother would have wanted for him. Character designer Shigenori Soejima notes that Ken was designed with a nostalgic appearance, rather than reflecting the typical style of modern Japanese children.
