The Eastern Princess is more hesitant than the other two princesses to crossdress because he doesn't want his girlfriend Megumi to discover his secret. Despite his reluctance, he proves to be a dependable character—he often grumbles and complains about the tasks the princesses must undertake but ultimately completes them, whether forced or not. He feels deeply self-conscious about being a princess and is mortified whenever someone outside of school finds out.
He is the most expressive of the three princesses, showing a lot of emotion and expression when yelling at Toru and Yuujiro. Mikoto is also tone-deaf and had never sung before becoming a princess. He cares deeply for those close to him, especially his girlfriend. Around Megumi, he changes his behavior, which greatly amuses Toru and Yuujiro. Despite his frequent complaints, he gradually becomes accustomed to his role as a princess, even fantasizing about him and Megumi dressed in Gothic Lolita Princess costumes.
Mikoto first appeared as a supporting character in one of Tsuda's earlier manga works, "The Day of Revolution," which centered around his girlfriend, Megumi. Additionally, he has a heart of gold despite coming off as a bit of a jerk sometimes.
