Megumi Eto is Girl #3.

In the novel and manga, Megumi is frequently bullied, particularly by Hirono Shimizu. During the game, she takes refuge in an abandoned house. She attempts to use her cellphone to call her parents but ends up reaching the teacher, Sakamochi, instead.

In the novel, after ending the call, Megumi hears Mitsuko entering the house. Sakamochi calls back, inadvertently alerting Mitsuko to Megumi's presence. In the manga, Megumi crushes her phone with her hand and becomes terrified when she hears someone breaking into the house, hoping it might be one of her friends. Unfortunately, Mitsuko discovers the crushed phone.

In both the novel and manga, Mitsuko tells Megumi that she is scared too and proposes they team up together. Megumi believes her, but Mitsuko betrays her trust by slitting Megumi's throat, revealing that she had been lying all along. Megumi is the fifth student to die in the manga.
