lubie mariel

An assistant of Lloyd and part of ASEEC. She first encounters Suzaku in Chapter 1, where she abruptly grabs him and drags him to Lloyd, despite it being their first meeting. She appears to be unaware of social cues, such as when she wouldn't let go of Suzaku's hand in Chapter 1. Initially, Suzaku calls her Mariel, but she seems to dislike that name, jokingly threatening to kill him if he called her Mariel. She is informal by nature, telling Suzaku not to address her as "Miss Elle" but simply as "Elle" in chapter 2. She is one year older than Suzaku, presumably 18 years old. In the manga, she is the reason Suzaku can attend Ashford Academy; it was her "gift" to him. She seems highly intelligent, having completed her graduate studies the previous year (at Suzaku's age) and holds a doctorate.
