He is the second main character and undoubtedly the calmest among them. Marco is revealed to be a criminal who ran afoul of the CIA after hacking into their database for reasons unknown. His personality is complex, with many layers, and he appears to possess more knowledge than the others.

Despite his criminal past, Marco shows genuine concern for the other survivors, even though they all have no more than six weeks left to live. He has repeatedly risked his life without hesitation to save the others, including those who hold resentment towards him. While he hasn't been entirely forthcoming with information, it's arguable that he has never outright lied to any of the survivors.

Marco also serves as the unofficial leader of the group, thanks to both his extensive knowledge and natural abilities. During his time in prison, he built up his muscles, got his tattoos, and developed an attitude that makes him seem more like a thug than a hacker. This new persona surprises Katherine and Kasumi, despite their prior knowledge of who Marco is.
