The central character of the story is a seemingly ordinary high school junior who possesses the unique ability to unlock the hidden talents of the "Lunar Race." Gifted with the power to distribute good luck to those around her, Mahiru is kind-hearted, always finding the best in people, and is strong-willed. Known as the "Descendant of the Princess," she serves as an aide to the Moonlight bandits.
Mahiru became an orphan at a very young age and was raised by her aunt. Her aunt recalls that Mahiru never asked for anything during her childhood and is often preoccupied with what others think of her. She has a passion for swimming and enjoys collecting small aqua plush toys, particularly ocean-themed animals like dolphins and fish. At 17 years old, Mahiru was born on June 29th. Her first name means "midday," while her last name translates to "pure white."
