Louie is a friend of Mel's. She is a confident, intuitive, and somewhat bossy girl. Louie is the reason Mel has to ask Vaith about his involvement in the Uprising of Selba. Her childhood friend, Alfred, fought in that battle but unfortunately died. Before his death, Alfred asked Vaith to give Louie a letter, but it took two and a half years for Louie to receive it because Vaith was forbidden from visiting the friends or relatives of deceased soldiers.
Louie is often seen with Mel's other friends, Lia and Yuino. Among the four of them, Louie tends to score the highest on exams. After the timeskip, Louie has also become a powerful magician.
