Koinzell is a new identity adopted by Ascheriit, one of the falsely accused Lances of Betrayal. In his youth, he was an orphan accepted into Ms. Gleaa's school of swordsmanship. There, he achieved remarkable feats, most notably mastering the infamous Black Wing technique, which earned him the title of Blade Master, an ancient honor reserved for true masters of the sword. He was subsequently chosen as one of the fourteen youths to wield the Emperor's spears and end the war with Wischtech. Although he was one of the four who successfully completed their mission, he was betrayed and brutally murdered by his companions, who later became known as the Seven Heroes. After being blinded in his left eye by his best friend Glenn and his body mutilated, he was left for dead but survived by consuming a fairy, which regenerated him but mixed his human blood with that of the faeries. This transformation gave him the appearance of a feminine child with pale hair, skin, and red eyes. Koinzell is considered one of the series' best fighters due to his exceptional swordsmanship, including the legendary Black Wing technique, and his ability to summon massive black chainswords from his right wrist. He is often cold and ruthless when hunting down those who betrayed him but can also be caring, frequently putting himself at risk for others. His actions are driven by revenge, yet he remains the hero he once was before his betrayal. Empowered by the twin moons of the world, if he becomes too fatigued, he reverts to a childlike fairy form until he recovers.
