An author, private investigator, and ex-vampire hunter with a prolific past. Kuroe assumes the role of Misaki's caretaker and acts as her guardian in a somewhat legally ambiguous capacity. Unlike the majority of humans, Kuroe possesses the capability to hold his own against a vampire in battle. He displays a great deal of affection towards Misaki but appears oblivious to the deeper emotions she harbors.
