sugimoto kuri

The third eldest Sugimoto sister. Kuri is a rather cynical and dry character. She stands out as the only one in the family who does not indulge Yasuko's whims, allowing her to do as she pleases. Kuri is acutely aware of Yasuko's selfish tendencies and worries about her sister's relationship with Fumi, foreseeing that Yasuko will ultimately hurt the younger girl. She enjoys smoking. Kuri also attended Fujigaya, as did all the elder Sugimoto sisters. During her time there, she garnered admiration from other girls, though she never reciprocated their affections and mostly ignored them. Her best friend harbored romantic feelings for her, but Kuri remained oblivious to this. Kuri was also in love with Kagami, although only Kazusa and Yasuko seemed to be fully aware of this. Yasuko, out of spite, eventually revealed this secret, leading even Shinako to find out. Unlike Yasuko, Kuri never confessed her feelings to Kagami, knowing he was betrothed to her older sister.
