Kenji's classmate who wasn't part of the original gang. As a child, he often wears a mask, and was frequently bullied in school, leading him to leave after just one semester. Consequently, his true face remains unknown to most of the gang.

Fukubei eventually meets with him, and Sadakiyo asks if he can be his friend. He later joins the Friends and becomes the caretaker of Friend's replica childhood home. He takes on the role of Kyoko Koizumi's English teacher and brings her to the Friend's home. There, he starts to question whether his actions are right, ultimately deciding to burn down the house and take Kyoko to meet his old teacher at the senior center.

He supposedly dies in a fiery car crash while Kyoko and the gang escape, but reappears in 3FE wearing his mask as he attempts to hold off Friend.
