Kurama's personal secretary, Kisaragi, is often seen daydreaming at work and tends to be quite clumsy. At the beginning of the story, she meets a tragic end when Lucy, in a violent rampage, encounters her. Completely unaware of the danger, Kisaragi trips right in front of Lucy, who then rips off her head and uses her body as a shield against the security team's gunfire.
In the manga version, Kisaragi comes across Lucy while walking down the hallway. Noticing that Lucy was drenched in blood, Kisaragi approaches her out of concern. Seizing this moment, Lucy takes Kisaragi hostage. Due to the inability of Kurama's men to get a clear shot without risking Kisaragi's life, Kurama decides that they must sacrifice her. Surprisingly, Kisaragi does not seem upset by this decision; instead, she expresses her willingness to die if it means aiding their cause. Kurama reassures her that her death will have meaning. However, before Kurama can give the order to shoot, Lucy decapitates Kisaragi. Using the severed body as a shield, Lucy kills the security team members and informs Kurama that Kisaragi's death was ultimately pointless, leaving the scene with a mocking laugh.
