He is the older twin brother of Takeshi. He becomes jealous upon learning that Toshiaki is married to Moe. This jealousy arises even though Ken knows that this Moe is not the real Moe he once knew. He continues to delude himself because of his feelings. Later, he signs a contract stipulating that his body will be used for experimentation after his death. Desperately longing to return to the days when Moe was still alive, Ken realizes he can never be with her again and ultimately commits suicide.
